Andy was smitten with the aviation virus at the tender age of 6 when his father took him up in a Beechcraft Musketeer. From then on he has never wished to recover and spreads the illness wherever possible.
Growing up in the San Joaquin Valley, the graceful maneuvers and roar of the Stearman crop dusters fueled the fire of enthusiasm, and on his 17th birthday Andy earned a private pilot certificate.
Romancing this love affair with the sky and intrigued by the mechanical aspects of flying machines, he pursued an A&P certificate and now helps keep Delta's heavy iron flying high. Living in a fly-in community south of Atlanta, Andy has flown several types of small planes, but was immediately captivated by the Lo-Camp on display at Sun & Fun 2006.
